Hi, I’m Indie. I’m glad you’re here.
You may know me as the founder of Indie Lee skincare. Here, you’ll also find me talking about what I’m growing, what I’m reading, what’s happening in my kitchen, and what I’m reconsidering about the way I live.
There’s quite a bit of reconsidering.
These days, I’m interested in living more thoughtfully. Growing more of what I eat. Knowing more about the things I bring into my home. Having time to enjoy the garden instead of treating it as another thing to get done.
Slowing down takes some practice when you’re a Type A person. I’m working on it.
The Indie Edit is where I share that process, including the choices that help and the things that don’t quite go to plan.
Why “The Edit”?
Because we’re allowed to change our minds about what makes a good life.
For me, that includes reading instead of spending another evening scrolling, being more intentional about what I buy, and paying attention to what deserves my time. I still have ambitions. I’m also thinking about what it feels like to live with the choices I make.
Clean living is part of that. My interest in what goes on our skin extends to what we eat, what we use around the house, and how we care for the world around us. I want to make informed choices that work in everyday life, with room to keep learning and do things imperfectly.
Much of what I share comes from life at Dragonfly Farm, where I live and garden.
What you’ll find here
I write a weekly letter, with shorter notes and conversations in between. The subjects overlap, much like they do in my life:
Home, garden, and the kitchen. Growing things, cooking what comes out of the garden, and making a home I enjoy spending time in.
Clean living in practice. Thoughtful choices about what we buy and use, what’s worth changing, and how to waste less of what we already have.
Health and everyday life. Honest conversations about living with autoimmune conditions, advocating for myself, and adjusting when my body changes the plan.
A little more time for living. Books, seasonal rhythms, getting outside, and deciding what I want to make room for as I get older.
There will also be things I’ve found useful and the occasional garden plan that has become considerably larger than originally intended.
If you’re new, start with these
The End of the Season
A good introduction to life around here, including books, tomatoes, new notebooks, and plans for the garden.
Things Take Longer
For when your timeline and real life aren’t quite agreeing.
You’re welcome to read quietly, join a conversation, or reply to a letter. I hope you find something useful here, and something that makes you feel a little less alone in whatever you’re figuring out.

With love from Dragonfly Farm,
