Surviving is not the same as living.
After my second brain tumor, I realized I wanted more than time. I wanted ...
Good Morning Sunshines.
There’s a moment I’ll never forget…
It was quiet, and I was standing in my kitchen, sunlight pouring in, hot chocolate in hand. I had survived my second brain tumor. My body had healed, my life was “back on track,” and yet I felt this deep knowing:
Surviving is not the same as living.
I realized once again, I had been moving through life with my head down, focused on recovery, resilience, and the next thing on my to-do list.
What I craved wasn’t just more years. I wanted more life in my years. I wanted Wellth™, which is a term that I now refer to as an abundance of health, wellness, and purpose.
Why The Indie Edit
Over the years, I’ve been many things: an autoimmune thriver and advocate, a two-time brain tumor survivor, an entrepreneur, a CPA, a clean beauty founder, a mom, and a seeker. Each role has shaped me, but the thread that runs through it all is a desire to live intentionally and help others do the same.
The Indie Edit is my space to share some of the tools, rituals, and perspectives that I’m leaning into as I heal, grow, and slow the F down. I hope that they might help you do the same, and you’ll feel comfortable enough to share some of the tools and rituals that help you thrive, so that we can create a community and learn from one another.
Here, you can expect:
Honest Stories: because I’ve come to understand vulnerability is a form of strength, not weakness
Clean Living Ideas: simple, low-tox ideas and swaps for your home, beauty, and lifestyle
Whole Body Health: from what we put in and on our bodies to what we plant in our soil, it’s all connected.
Autoimmune Advocacy & Support: real talk around living and thriving with chronic illness.
Mindful Rituals: small moments that restore and recharge
Before I sign off, I want to leave you with something to take into your day, a tiny edit you can make right now.
Ask yourself these three questions:
What’s one thing I can let go of today that’s draining my energy?
What’s one nourishing choice I can make for my body today?
What’s one small moment of joy I can intentionally create?
Write them down. Answer them honestly. Then act on just one of them. Wellth is built in small, intentional steps.
If you’ve found your way here, thank you. It means the world to me to share this space with you. Whether you’re healing, reinventing, or simply ready for more intention in your days, I hope The Indie Edit feels like a breath of fresh air.
Here’s to living well — inside and out.
XO, Indie
